My Story

I’ve tried to write this story a million times.

Every time I start, it feels like I’m not doing it justice — and I end up starting over again.

Bound Legacy is, at its core, a tribute.

A tribute to my beautiful mother, who passed away suddenly a few months ago, in the middle of the night.

Losing Mum

The moment my dad woke me up, I knew something was wrong.

Everything happened so quickly, it felt like a blur — like a dream I couldn’t wake up from.

It had been such a normal day.

Mum went to work as usual. I met a friend. My sister stayed home relaxing, and my dad was working upstairs. Nothing felt out of the ordinary.

But if I’d known how the day would end, I would have given anything to change it.

My mother was one of a kind.

She was the light in every room, the provider for those in need, the healer for those who struggled. She was the part of your day you always looked forward to.

A wonderful mother, sister, partner, cousin, and friend — the kind of person everyone hopes to be.

The Conversation That Started It All

Bound Legacy was born from a conversation we had before she passed — a moment I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I told her I wanted to take a year away from university to chase my dream of starting a clothing brand. All I wanted was to give her the life she deserved.

I expected resistance. But instead, she smiled and said:

“I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I didn’t let you give it a go.”

She even called my aunty afterwards, telling her how proud she was of me.

Those words still echo in my mind every single day.

Why Bound Legacy

The name comes from my personal journey.

I am doing this for my mum — my greatest inspiration.

Her legacy is bound to me, and in carrying it forward, I carry her with me.

This brand is my purpose of greatness: to make her proud, to live the values she taught me, and to create something that will outlast me.

Bound Legacy is not just about preserving her memory — it’s about building a legacy of my own, rooted in love, light, and resilience.
